Hello my Beauties!
I still can’t believe that we are in the month of October. This year has been one crazy ride, but I am greatful for my health and my family.
In today’s post, I want to talk about love for plaid skirts.
Let’s start with the skirt itself.
To get the most wear out of it, keep it right around knee length. You can go a bit shorter or bit longer, but too short or too long and it won’t be a classic you can wear every year. You can stick with a pencil or A-line skirt, or go traditional with a pleated plaid skirt. Again, any of these styles will wear well for a decade or more (giving you more money in the future to spend on other things!).
Now let’s get to some plaid skirt outfit pairings…
Back in September I went to Hudson’s Bay and finally picked up a plaid skirt. They had a crazy sale on “Sandro” and “Maje”, and I just couldn’t resist not to buy myself a skirt and especially when it’s only $79 CAD (the original price was $419).
Straight-cut high-waisted mini skirt with black belt featuring monogrammed buckle. Chic black and white tweed-style fabric. Very Chanel inspired, don’t you think so?
I paired it with the cutest white sheer bubble ribbed blouse from ChicWish. This blouse is all about handling business (and staying warm) with its ribbed knit bodice but it’s totally party time with the sheer, bell sleeves and sheer ruffled high neck.
To add the glamorous to this look, I’ve styled my dress with this cutest pearl beret and you know me I have the biggest obsession with everything that has pearls on it and now you can put pieces together and understand the logic behind the name of my blog.
What do you think about this look? Do you like it?
