Happy almost Monday!
We had a crazy cold weekend here in Toronto with lots of snow and temperature -17 C (1.4 F), but you know what it didn’t really bother me at all, because I had my winter boots ready, so I could stay outside as long as I want and still had fun 🙂
Remember the quote: “There’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes” or bad winter shoes.
Today I would like to share with you how to find a perfect pair of winter boots for the fashionistas!
There are a few important features to consider when shopping for winter boots other than the style and the fashionista factor. Yes, the look of a winter boots will play a large roll in the decision-making process, but technical features are equally as important.
As we know, winter is generally colder than the rest of the seasons especially here in Canada. Due to the more extreme climate where you are living so adequate gear is imperative. Due to the more extreme temperatures, proper gear is essential for not only your comfort but for your safety too and this is why when I found Kamik brand, I knew that I found a perfect pair of boots that will keep my feet warm and the same time will look cute.
Of course you can ask me, why Kamik and not other brand and what is so different about it?
I agree, all valid questions and here is my answer!
I was looking for the following factors:
- Warmth
- Winter boot liners and breathability
- Temperature ratings for winter and since I live in Canada and I like to ski, this factor was very important for me
- Traction of the boot sole
- Comfort and sizing
- Waterproof and climate-proof features
- Beyond the looks
It was so difficult to find that perfect pair, but I did and I am so happy with my choice.
The seam sealed, waterproof Snovalley 2 in colour white designed with the harshest of winters in mind. With a -40o F comfort rating and 200B 3MTM ThinsulateTM insulation, the Snovalley2 keeps feet warm and protected even if it’s so cold you could easily imagine you’re standing in an igloo, with a Yeti. The trendy silhouette features plush cushioning and D-ring lacing system creating a stylish winter boot without sacrificing functionality.
I mean how could you say NO to this pair, because I couldn’t. Now you will see me wearing them all the time and especially on my ski trips to Blue Mountain and Mont-Tremblant in moth of February.
What is your favourite winter boots brand, let me know in the comment below.
Love,
Olya
