WHERE TO STAY IN CHICAGO:FAIRMONT CHICAGO MILLENNIUM PARK HOTEL

If you follow me on Instagram (@shinylittlepearl), you’ll know that couple weeks ago Kirsten (@kirstenwendlandt ) and I visited Chicago and it was an absolutely amazing experience. With so many options for dining, nightlife, shopping, spas, theatre and culture, the opportunities for a fantastic girls getaway are endless.We knew we wanted a place that was close to shopping, close to some awesome restaurants, popular landmarks and a place that had a spa because hello, we deserve to be spoiled.

Our choice had to be Fairmont Chicago – as most of you will know, it’s one of my favourite hotel chains. (if you follow me for awhile, you would remember my Instagram post from Banff, AB).  Although all their hotels are so individual and unique but they all share amazing service. The Fairmont is luxurious, warm, friendly and the service is just perfection – I seriously cannot put into words how great the staff are.

On top it’s literally right around the corner from Millennium Park and the infamous 😂Bean, also couple blocks away from the Riverwalk and it’s right in downtown which makes it the perfect place to stay when visiting Chicago.

I am somewhat of a hotel snob so I can be quite picky about where we stay and this place did not disappoint in any regard.

We stayed on the 35th floor. It had insane views of Chicago, as well as the largest bedroom. I have never been so blown away with a room in my life. As much as I love clean, white luxury, I love the Fairmont because it’s luxurious in a different
kind of way and it’s got character.

Fairmont hotel hits all those extra touches to their turn down service with the following:

• music
• a bottle water with glass
• they pull the shades down
• mini tidy up (fresh towels)

Over all the rooms are exceptionally clean. The level of toiletries is incredible. I can’t rave about this special touch. The hotels scent of choice is Rose 31. I love this brand so much.  For those looking to stay in Chicago for a period of time and need a full living space then the suite is a great option. You will have a full kitchen, living and dining area. What more could you ask for in a hotel stay?

The next best thing about the hotel? The onsite full-service “My Spa“.

The fact that you can walk from your room to the spa, get a massage or facial, manicure or pedicure, body wrap or whatever the heck you want and then turn around and go right back up to your room is sorta [okay, very] fabulous.

Basically, to sum it all up, Fairmont Chicago is the perfect spot to stay for any Chicago girls weekend. End of story.

As part of the stay, I had access to the Chicago Fairmont Gold located on the 15th floor. The Gold Lounge offers morning breakfast and snacks throughout the day including beverages. I actually love the lounge access because of snacks and cocktails and unlimited beverages you can have during the day. I highly recommend Fairmont Gold for the lounge access alone especially for families or business travellers to get something quick on the go.

It was hard to leave our beautiful room, but we were so excited to explore the windy city!
