The Ultimate Day & Night Skincare Routine with Alumier MD, Graydon and L’Occitane

This blog post has been a long time coming. I’ve been wanted to share my full skincare routine for the past couple of month, especially as it has had such a dramatic effect on my skin.

Disclaimer: I have a combination and very sensitive skin, so please keep in mind before you try any of the products below since it might not work for your skin type!

Step 1: Cleanser

“Avene” Cleansing Foam – cleansing is always the first step to any skincare routine, you need to cleanse your skin to prepare it for the day ahead, but not all cleansers are the same. In my opinion, the best way to clean your face is to use gel or foam one.

Step 2: Exfoliant (at night only)

Alumier MD Lotus Scrub – this gentle facial scrub uses spherical exfoliation technology to gently remove dead skin cells and impurities, revealing smoother and more radiant skin. Thanks to the smoothing ingredients in the product like lotus seed powder, it also has natural moisturising and calming properties to help my skin with that healthy glow. I use fingertips to massage in a circular motion for one minute a small amount of product on damp skin. I use 1-2 times per week.

Step 3: Serum

For Day Time:

EVERACTIVE C&E  – now that we’ve got cleansing and exfoliating out of the way, we can get onto one of the most exciting skincare launches I’ve seen. EverActive C&E is the newest AlumierMD product on the market, and something you will not find anywhere else. This is an antioxidant serum containing 15% high-strength vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid), that stays fresh because you only mix the Vitamin C with the serum when you’re ready to use it. Most Vitamin C serums on the market oxidise inside their bottles, going brown, making them non-beneficial. The Everactive C&E is activated with a unique delivery system when you’re ready, contains the highest grade of vitamin C available and will be perfect to use until you finish the bottle, with continuous daily usage.

The vitamin C and E within the serum reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, whilst additional Matrixyl® Synthe’6® (peptides) neutralise free radicals and protect against UV damage and pollution. Vitamin C is an ingredient that we all need to be using as often as possible to enhance the brightness of our skin and to protect the skin from daily sunshine and pigmentation damage. And so, this has become a must have in my routine.

I use this only in the mornings, adding a few drops onto my fingertips, and patting it all over the face to disperse, again not focusing on the undereyes or eyelids.

For Night Time:

Graydon Full Moon Serum – this luxurious ‘water serum’ shields your skin from the winter elements, combats sign of aging, and adds radiance. Perfect for all skin types to be used on its own or in conjunction with the moisturizer. Also – how beautiful will this bottle look in your bathroom or on your dresser!

Step 4: Eye Cream

Graydon Super Sensitive Skin Stuff Face + Eye Cream -is an amazing solution for people with skin that reacts to everything. This nutrient rich formula is packed with ingredients that will nourish, not irritate your skin. Its ‘nonstick’ consistency absorbs quickly into your skin and is an excellent choice for people who do not like to feel like they’re wearing moisturizer or eye cream, which makes it ideal. I use it in AM and PM as eye cream and in PM as moisturizer only.

Step 5:Moisturizer

L’Occitane Shea Butter Ultra Rich Cream  – During the winter time I use L’Occitane 25% and during the summer time 5% only. Its creamy and melting texture is formulated with a high concentration of shea butter (25%) to answer the essential needs of dry to very dry skin, including sensitive skin types. Lastingly moisturized, skin is supple, soft and feeling of tightness is reduced.

Every other night I use “Watermelon Glow Sleeping mask “  – when I was finally able to get my hands on it on the Sephora website I was SO excited! I used it everyday after my cleanser and serum and I wake up in the morning with baby soft skin. Like what?! I have supers sensitive skin and my face LOVES this stuff.This is totally worth the money! Not only does it work like a dream, it smells AMAZING! And a little goes a long way!
