Great Gatsby

I love the style from the Roaring Twenties — it was an era of decadence and exuberance. And thanks to the blockbuster movie The Great Gatsby, Gatsby-inspired costumes are one of the top 10 trends this Halloween. Simply add a sparkly flapper dress and a polished little bob, and you’ll be channeling your inner Daisy Buchanan in no time. Best of all, the ’20s art deco trend is all the rage right now, so with just a quick trip to the mall, you’ll be able to pull off this look.

Here’s how you can get your own Great Gatsby-inspired Halloween costume.

The 20’s were all about dresses with dropped waistlines, so start off by looking for dresses with this detail ( Adult Gatsby Flapper Costume or Flashy Flapper and Mob Boss Couples Costumes ( couple costume:) or Sexy Womens Flapper Costume Red) .

My costume features a red sheath dress that’s dripping in layers of flirtatious red fringe. Fringe was the hallmark of the flapper outfit and when you put this dress on you’ll see why – it’ll shimmy and shake in all the right ways when you move ion the dance floor. The matching feather headband will dress up your hair and give you classic appeal. Add a lariat necklace, some shoes and an old cigarette holder and you’ll be ready to strut your stuff. Costumes this gorgeous add a little jazz to any Halloween party.

Thank you to Chill Ice House for hosting such a great party!!!

Thank you for stopping by:)

  1. Great Excerpt

“In my younger and more vulnerable years my father gave me some advice that I’ve been turning over in my mind ever since.

“Whenever you feel like criticizing any one,” he told me, “just remember that all the people in this world haven’t had the advantages that you’ve had.”
